Pamela Anderson is selling her house, and the former "Baywatch" star is set to make a killing if the mansion is sold for even close to asking price. Anderson has put the Malibu house on sale for $7.75 million after purchasing it in 2000 for only $1.8 million.
Although Pamela Anderson is only now selling her house, she hasn't lived in the 3-bedroom home for quite some time. After years of renovation, it finally became available for rent in 2011, then lease last year. The manor, which is located at 23445 Malibu Colony Road, boasts an impressive 2,752 square feet of space.
The California estate has a front stone gate, a courtyard with lavender and olive trees, wide glass swinging doors, a home theater, and a baby grand piano. It was designed by Philip Vertoch in 1959 and "walking distance from all things Malibu."
"Walking distance from all things Malibu, this finely crafted, teak-sided home is perfect for the renter wanting to enjoy quiet, beach days while being close to the action," a previous listing read.
Anderson, 45, reportedly spent significant funds and time upgrading the mansion to meet eco-friendly standards, consulting decorator Josh Chryssanthou to adorn the premises. The renovations- complete with solar panels and iPads to control the home's electronic features- make for a "magical spot," the star said.
"I'm finally willing to share my masterpiece- what I've co-created with a handful of green architects and designers inspired by my favorite architect Lautner- this is my humble stab at perfection. It's a magical spot," Anderson wrote about the house last year.
The Canadian actress' motivations for selling the house may not simply be to share her creation with the world, however. Anderson allegedly owed $371,514 in taxes to the IRS by the end of 2012, according to The Inquisitr.
