Paul Walker Death: Fast and Furious 7 Actor's Mom Files for Divorce a Year After Tragedy
Cheryl Walker, mother of the late actor Paul Walker, has filed for divorce, saying that it has nothing to do with her son's tragic death last year, according to reports.
Cheryl cited in a document that she has been living separately from Paul Walker III for almost 12 years now, TMZ reported. Paul's mom was a former fashion model and his father was a sewer contractor and amateur boxer who has won two Golden Gloves championship back in his days.
According to the people in the know, the couple had a "very bad, tumultuous marriage and the separation was anything but amicable."
As part of the divorce condition, Cheryl is asking her estranged husband of 30 years for spousal support.
Paul Walker, "The Fast and the Furious" star, died in a car crash last year on a Thanksgiving weekend in California. He was a passenger on a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT which was driven by his friend Roger Rodas. The vehicle was reported to have run between 80 and 93 mph when it impacted a power pole and several trees along the road.
Coroner's report indicated that the accident was caused by speeding.
"Investigators determined the cause of the fatal solo-vehicle collision was unsafe speed for the roadway conditions," Los Angeles County Sherriff's Commander Mike Parker told CNN.
The movie actor's estate was estimated to value between $16 million and $25 million, which is to be inherited solely by his 15-year-old daughter Meadow Walker.
