"I am SO excited to officially announce the 'Need You Now' tour, which also happens to be my very first headlining tour. I have been off the road for some time now, starting a family...and now is the perfect time to come back. I can't imagine a better album than Need You Now to make all this happen. It's an honor to be sharing the stage with two of my favorite artists, Josh Wilson and Mikeschair. Plus, now my kiddos are old enough to work...they can count t-shirts...or something. Ha! See you this fall!" she said in a press release via Biscuit PR.

Recently, Plumb began traveling to Brooklyn to help children in need with Metro World Child.

Plumb's website www.plumbinfo.com/metroworldchild will be sharing their experiences with Metro World Child by posting videos and content throughout the summer.

She will be partnering up with the New York City branch and will speak at the weekly staff meetings, visit children's homes and help with "Sidewalk Sunday Schools" and regular Sunday School. Over 4,000 people are involved in that program.

The organization has been helping youth for the past 33 years focusing on those who have lived in rough neighborhoods and circumstances around the world.

Metro World Child believes that transformation "comes from the inside" and they help break destructive cycles and create atmospheres of hope to make change.

"Through sound biblical principles that transcend cultures, denominations, race and generations, Metro World Child reaches nearly 100,000 inner-city children and their families in New York City and various urban centers around the world each week," a press release about the event said.

Metro World Child is a global faith-based humanitarian organization with over 220 different sites in New York City alone.

They mainly focus on Sunday School services, child sponsorship, special programs and personal home visits.

For those interested in getting involved with one of the programs, people are encouraged to have hands on experience through internships, volunteer work, and ministry opportunities at http://www.metroworldchild.org/.

Plumb, who's real name is Tiffany Arbuckle Lee, was lead singer of a band called Plumb. Upon going solo in 2000, she kept the moniker and found more success by herself.

She has six albums with the band and by herself with her 2003 release, Beautiful Lumps of Coal, being her most successful album with the song "Real" reaching No. 41 on the U.K. singles chart.
