Prince Harry Birthday Celebrated on Saturday

Despite the recent photo scandals plaguing Buckingham Palace, Prince Harry's birthday has arrived and the British royal will turn 28 years old.

The youngest son of Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana will likely quietly celebrate his birthday in London Saturday where he resides in the city's Kensington Palace, although he is well known for having lively parties.

Last month, Harry was photographed in Las Vegas during a game of what was reported to be strip billiards poker. Since the scandal, the prince has remained largely out of the media's spotlight.

Harry was born His Royal Highness Henry Charles Albert David of Wales on Sept. 15, 1984 at St. Mary's Hospital in London. He is the fourth grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II and the third in line to the throne.

"Royal firstborns may get all the glory, but secondborns enjoy more freedom," Harry's mother, Princess Diana, explained to the press in 1984. "Only when Harry is a lot older will he realize how lucky he is not to have been the eldest. My second child will never have quite the same sort of pressure that poor William must face all his life."

Prince Harry and his elder brother Prince William have maintained a very close relationship since childhood, although Harry has been known in the media as the "wild one."

Although Harry's personal relationships are not as closely followed as other members of the royal family, the young prince was reportedly in a relationship with Chelsy Davy for some time until 2011 when he told reporters he was "100 percent single," according to the Daily Mail.

Meanwhile, Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton have recently become embroiled in a lawsuit over photos published of the Duchess while topless.

Middleton, also known as the Duchess of Cambridge, was on vacation with her husband William in France when a paparazzo secretly snapped photos of the pair sunbathing. The images in Closer magazine reveal Kate's bare chest, infuriating both members of the royal family and the public.

As the couple seeks legal action against the French magazine, they continue their tour in Southeast Asia for Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee.
