'Prison Break' Season 5 Spoilers, News: Poster Teases Michael's Struggles in Escaping a 'Nation'

Michael and Lincoln will return next month to provide fans with a brand-new story after the former was believed to have died seven years ago. A new poster for "Prison Break" season 5 teases that fans will see more of Michael's struggles as he tries to break out of a "nation."

In the poster spread all over the series' official social media pages, Michael (Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) are the stars. However, there's a cryptic message in it. "First, it was a prison. Now, it's a nation," the poster reads in between the faces of the brothers.

Rumor has it that the series may be teasing a darker storyline for the upcoming season. Fans can also expect the brothers to go through a lot more obstacles as Lincoln rallies his friends to help with Michael's jail-breaking stint. It remains to be seen if the plans to escape an entire nation will succeed.

As fans know, the fifth installment of "Prison Break" is set to reunite Michael with Lincoln. Fans are also expecting to see Michael's reunion with Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies) and his son. However, this plot has yet to be officially confirmed. After all, Sara is now married to someone else.

Meanwhile, viewers are also looking forward to the introduction of Inbar Lavi into the "Prison Break" season 5 universe. It was previously revealed that Lavi will play the role of Sheba, a Yemeni activist. It is unclear how she will affect Michael's plight but she is someone who will be "involved with Lincoln."

Speaking with Bravo TV's The Daily Dish earlier last month, Lavi revealed that Sheba's story is "relevant to us right now." She added that Sheba's story is something that should be shared with the world. "We have to give these people a voice now more than ever, and I am so, so, so delighted and proud to be able to be that voice for them," she said.

"Prison Break" season 5 is slated for premiere April 4 on FOX.
