PS4 and Xbox One Release Dates Leaked by Toys 'R Us in the UK

Toys 'R Us leaked the release dates of the PS4 and the Xbox One in the U.K. according to new reports.

The Toys 'R Us website says Microsoft's system will launch in the U.K. on Nov. 29 with the PS4 coming on Dec. 13.

BT Games confirmed the dates after they reached out to a spokesperson from Toys 'R Us, but the two video game companies have not confirmed this themselves.

The only thing Microsoft has confirmed is that their console will see a November release.

Amazon initially listed the launching date of the console at Dec. 31, but admitted they feel this is just a holding date, according to The International Business Times.

Sony has indicated that PlayStation 4 will be here for the holidays with no specific date.

Sony may follow the original plan of the PS3 and go for the Nov. 22 release, allowing for people to gear up for Black Friday, according to IBTimes.

However, pre-orders for Best Buy showed the console arriving on Nov. 30.

The Xbox One had an Amazon release date of Nov. 27, so an earlier launch for the PS4 could prove quite beneficial.

At the moment, retailers and online followers of the two consoles can only speculate as to when the systems will launch. One thing is certain: both consoles may suffer huge shortages at launch, with many people unable to get their hands on the next generation systems until 2014.

Many online sources have said the PS4 and Xbox One may be the first generation of consoles to now actually have any consoles that have not already been pre-ordered on the shelves.

Retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy, and Gamestop all were sold out of the systems for pre-order at sometime. Amazon received more in stock only recently.
