'Rambo 5' Movie News, Update: Stallone Confirms Sequel's Official Title

Rumors come and gone about the possibility of another "Rambo" film, but everything was taken with a grain of salt until this last week when actor Sylvester Stallone took to his social media to officially announced the official title of the upcoming installment of the popular action movie franchise.

In a report by Variety.com, it was confirmed that the title for the fifth "Rambo" movie would be "Rambo: Last Blood."

On his Twitter account, Sly revealed that he'll be filming a gangster biopic about Gregory "the Grim Reaper" Scarpa after he's done with "Rambo: Last Blood."

"Doing Scarpa based on Gangster Greg Scarpa after LAST BLOOD RAMBO..." his tweet read.

Scarpa is a story revolving around a former mafia hitman who once had connections to the Profaci crime family and later broke off to work for the FBI as an informant.

Breitbart.com meanwhile wrote that in Rambo 5, the Green Beret will be going up against a Mexican cartel.

Aside from the films stated above, the 68-year-old Academy Awards nominee also got his hands full with a current film project titled "Creed."

The film, as stated, is a spinoff of the Rocky film series where it will find his other famous character, Rocky Balboa, now on his old age training and mentoring the grandson (Michael B. Jordan) of a fellow boxing alumnus Apollo Creed.

"Going to Philly to start the film CREED.... What a great idea," the actor shared again with his fans.

It has been seven years since the last Rambo movie came out.
