'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Taylor Armstrong Calls FBI After Death Threats Target Daughter

An FBI probe is underway after "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Taylor Armstrong and her 5-year-old daughter received death threats.

An unidentified Twitter user with the username '@hardboiledpegg,' sent the 40-year-old widow a series of alarming tweets on Sunday which she eventually retweeted.

"See u on February 7 ill [sic] be there with a book and a rope so i can kidnap u," @hardboiledpeggs wrote tweeted.

"Turn around bright eyes every now and then, Kennedy's dead," another tweet said. Although the @hardboiledpeggs has since been deleted, a frightened Armstrong replied by saying "Don't ever contact me again" before contacting police, according to Radar Online.

"Taylor absolutely freaked out when she read the death threats. These were credible serious threats against Taylor and her daughter, Kennedy. The Tweets that were sent to Taylor have been turned over to the FBI," a law enforcement official told Radar.

Armstrong who is scheduled to appear at a Feb 7 book signing for her controversial tell-all book "Hiding from Reality: My Story of Love, Loss, and Finding the Courage Within," will have additional security as a result of the vile tweets.

"Taylor will be consulting with security professionals and assess what changes she needs to increase. Her first concern when she got the threats was Kennedy, but her daughter is safe, and that is all that matters to Taylor," the official said.

The mother of one became one of the most talked about housewives on the Bravo reality show, after her husband, Russell, committed suicide in August just one month after she filed for divorce.

The criticism began when Armstrong made the decision to write a tell all, which Russell's ex-wife and ex-fiance argued was a blatant attempt to profit from her late husband's death.

"Enough is enough! Let the children mourn and remember their father in a good light...Shame on her for profiting from her husband's tragic death," Russell's ex-wife Barbara Fredrickson fumed to Star Magazine.

The troubled couple frequently displayed traits of a dysfunctional marriage on the RHOBH reality show, and before Russell's death it had been revealed that he had been physically abusing Armstrong which led to her divorce filing.

Although the culprit behind the death threats is yet to be found, law enforcement officials are confident that the FBI will get to the bottom of it with Armstrong's help.

"She will do whatever is necessary to protect herself and Kennedy. Taylor is assisting the FBI with the investigation, and she wants the person responsible for the the threats prosecuted," the law enforcement official said.
