Christian-related trends occur frequently on Twitter, and last week featured the message, “God Loves You.”

Users were declaring God’s love on the social media site, reminding their friends and family to stay encouraged throughout the week with the message.

Twitter users mentioning the trending phrase included Miriam, who wrote, “Even when you sin God is great enough to forgive us and bring something good out of the bad that WE put ourselves in. #GODLOVESYOU.”

“#GodLovesYou should always be trending!” Wrote Jenna.

Some Twitter users employed the trending topic as a chance to show support for Troy Davis, who was executed Wednesday, September 21.

AFTAQ wrote, “GOD LOVES YOU? If that’s that case, get him/her to share some love with Troy Davis. Take action, it’s not too late!”

“God Loves You Troy Davis!” Wrote Lila on Twitter during last week’s trend.
