Richard Dawkins Pokes Fun at Romney's Confusion Over Plane Windows

British atheist Richard Dawkins, who earlier this month used Twitter to slam GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney for his Mormon faith, has rekindled his campaign against the Republican, making fun of recent Romney comments and urging everyone to vote for President Barack Obama.

Some of Dawkins' new comments on Twitter targeted at Romney include:

"US friends, PLEASE don't let the implosion of Mormonic Mitt's campaign lull you into false security. Keep campaigning for Obama and donating."

"Mormonic Mitt's campaign in self-destruction. But US friends, PLEASE don't be over-confident. Keep on working for Obama and donating."

"Contributions from abroad to presidential campaigns are illegal. Pity. It's hard to imagine ANY non-Americans supporting Romney."

"Romney thinks planes should have windows you can open. Makes sense. Good to have a scientifically savvy President."

The last of the comments refers to remarks Romney made during a fundraiser in California where he said: "When you have a fire in an aircraft, there's no place to go, exactly, there's no – and you can't find any oxygen from outside the aircraft to get in the aircraft, because the windows don't open. I don't know why they don't do that. It's a real problem."

It was not made readily apparent whether Romney's remarks were meant to be a joke or not, but several other U.S. media outlets and blogs picked up on his statement and used it as criticism against the former Massachusetts governor.

Dawkins, the author of bestseller The God Delusion, previously criticized Romney via Twitter by mocking several tenets of the presidential candidate's Mormon faith, calling him a "gullible fool" in the process.

"No matter how much you agree with Romney's economic policy, can you really vote for such a massively gullible fool? He is a Mormon Bishop!" Dawkins tweeted on Sept. 9.

"Bible & Koran genuinely old, written in the language of their time. Book of Mormon written by 19th (century) charlatan. Romney too stupid to see it," Dawkins' tweets continued, referring to Joseph Smith, who founded the Mormon religion after he claimed he was visited by an angel in the 1820s.

The Mitt Romney campaign has not responded to Richard Dawkins' remarks as of yet, and did not return emails by The Christian Post seeking comments.
