Rihanna Gets 'Tupac' Style Tattoo

Rihanna it would appear is paying respect to the late rapper Tupac by getting the same words tattooed over her knuckles as the late rapper had arching across his stomach.

Tupac lived the "thug life" with his very public antics and criminal trials, yet Rihanna seems to embrace the idea while not actually "living" in urban sense of thug life.

On her Twitter account pop star tweeted a picture of her while she is having the ink done. The picture has the caption: "All these b****es screaming that 2pac back #THUGLIFE (sic)."

In a separate post the starlet's message, rumored to be in reference to Drake's single "Free Spirit" which mentions Tupac's girlfriend Kidada Jones, who used to have a tattoo of his face on her arm.

The caption under the picture reads: "Tat my f***in name on u girl so I know its real!!! #MINE (sic)."

The 23-year-old is a huge fan of tattoos. She has approximately 14 visible tats which includes a musical note, a Pisces, the word "love", a trail of stars flowing down the back of her neck and the phrase "Rebelle Fleur" which is French and means rebellious flower.

Rihanna also appears to have gotten another new tattoo on her back. She posted a picture on a micro-blogging site of her lying on the table holding a bottle of beer while notable tattoo artist Mark Mahoney delicately creates the permanent body art.

She wrote: "My boo Mark Mahoney!!!! #RockstarS*** #TATnight (sic)."

In what could be thought of as an odd combination Rihanna wore a t-shirt of John Lennon's face while she was getting her ink done.

Rihanna has sold more than 20 million albums and 60 million singles, which makes her one of the best-selling artists of all time. She is also the youngest solo artist in Billboard charts history to achieve 11 number one singles on the Hot 100.
