Ronan Farrow, Woody Allen's Son, Becomes Recipient of Rhodes Scholarship for Oxford

Ronan Farrow, child prodigy of stars Woody Allen and Mia Farrow, is representing the United States as a Rhodes Scholar along with 31 others from across the globe.

The 23-year-old graduated from Bard College when he was just 15-years-old with a degree in philosophy and biology in 2004, then in 2009 went on to graduate from Yale Law School. Now at 23 years of age, Farrow works in the State Department as Special Advisor to the Secretary of State for Global Youth Affairs.

Prior to his job now, Farrow worked as Special Advisor for Humanitarian and NGO Affairs and from 2001 to 2009 served as UNICEF spokesperson.

Farrow has done work in the Horn of Africa as well as working with youth and children in Nigeria on the AIDS epidemic.

From 2004 to 2006, he worked in Darfur and wrote on the conflict focusing primarily on the child soldiers.

Born, Satchel Ronan O'Sullivan Farrow, he had a falling out with his father due to his affair with Mia's adopted daughter, Soon-Yi. Farrow didn't speak to his father for many years, and was in a long custody battle with his parents when he was a child.

Rhodes Scholarships provide all-expense paid trips for students to attend the University of Oxford in England for two or three years and has been doing so since 1902. Farrow will be studying to get his Doctorate in Philosophy in international Development.

An additional stipend and allowance is given to the students to cover living expenses.

Rhodes scholars have left Oxford with world renowned expertise in teaching, writing, medicine, scientific research, law, the military and public service.
