Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.1.2, JellyBean Update Now Available for Verizon Customers

The Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.1.2, JellyBean update is now available for Verizon customers.

The smartphone will now have features that were first released for the Galaxy Note 2 including multi-window multitasking and multi-screen. It will also have S Beam's Auto Share Shot along with some bug fixes and other features which can be seen in the company's official change-log for the Galaxy S3.

The NFC feature has been improved with the update as it will now be easier to turn on. Burst shot will not be the default setting on the stock Camera application and a web browsing issue that caused the S3 to reset has also been corrected.

The update is 129MB and can be downloaded over-the-air. Users can access it by going into Settings > About Phone > System updates. Once that is done, users can tap the Restart and Install button to finish the upgrade. When it is finished, the new software version will be JZO54K.I535VRBMD3. The update has not been officially confirmed by Verizon at this time.

The Android 4.1.2, JellyBean update is now available for Samsung Galaxy S3 users on T-Mobile.

The 187MB update brings multi-window support to the device. Customers began receiving notifications to upgrade their software at 3 a.m. Monday morning.

One person who received it reported the addition of two new apps with it including Paper Artist and Group Play along with T-Mobile's new 4G logo.

T-Mobile is also expected to ship an LTE version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 starting on June 5, according to a recent report from TmoNews. This new T-Mobile version of the device will most likely cost around $99 down with the rest of the phone being paid off on a monthly fee.
