Samsung Galaxy S4 Specs: Device to Come With Unbreakable Screen?

More and more rumors seems to be surfacing regarding the Samsung Galaxy S4 specs as the device is now supposed to feature an unbreakable screen.

Samsung is reportedly working on something called "Project J" that would have them release smartphones with unbreakable screens by April of next year.

Mark Newman, an analyst at Stanford Bernstein in Hong Kong, weighed in on Samsung's plans, confirming that a flexible or unbreakable display will make its way to a Samsung flagship device in the near future.

"Eventually, they'll (Samsung) have unbreakable and flexible displays," he said. "Either the Galaxy S4 or S5 will have unbreakable and even possibly flexible and foldable displays by 2014. That's going to be a game-changer."

The display on the Galaxy S4 is already rumored to be bigger. It will also have a higher resolution- pixel density jumps to 441 per inch from the Galaxy S3's 306 ppi, which is better than the iPhone 5's 326 ppi.

Samsung is major backer of the organic light-emitting diode better known as the OLED display. These OLED panels could be replacing their glass substrate with plastic material in order to make it sturdier and less breakable.

The rumored processor for the Samsung Galaxy S4, the Exynos 5 5440, is already being tested, according to new evidence.

This new quad-core chip was discovered in Samsung test logs and is expected to be unveiled at this year's Mobile World Congress. The chip is also going to be used to create the next-generation Samsung flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S4.

A Korean source reported last month that this will be the processor featured in the new smartphone when it launches next year.

This chipset will be faster than the one found in the Nexus 10 and will be made on a 28nm process.
