Samsung Galaxy S4 Specs: Device to Feature 1.8 GHz CPU and Android 4.2.1, JellyBean

A smartphone said to be the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S4 recently showed up on AnTuTu benchmark.

The device's appearance revealed some of its specifications, including a 1.8GHz processor and Android 4.2.1, JellyBean out of the box.

The Galaxy S4 will also be a device that charges without a wire, according to other recent reports.

DDaily made a new claim last week that said the Galaxy S4 will support wireless charging. The device will receive its initial charge through the back cover when it is placed on a charging dock that will be sold separately.

The Korean site also reported that Samsung is considering using an alternative, more advanced wireless charging technology known as magnetic coupling. This will allow the device to be charged from a distance of up to 2 meters. Users would not have to place the smartphone directly on top of the dock.

Other rumored specifications for the Galaxy S4 include a 5-inch FHD sAMOLED 1980 x 1080 Flexible Display, 4G LTE connectivity , and a 13-megapixel camera, ,

The Galaxy S4 being released in June does not seem that farfetched, as Samsung launched the Galaxy S3 around that same time in 2012.

It is arguably the most anticipated smartphone of 2013 and will go up against the next-generation iPhone and BlackBerry 10 OS when it is finally released.

RIM has built up a decent amount of hype for its new operating system that will debut at the end of this month. Meanwhile, Apple is rumored to be releasing a cheaper version of the iPhone in the next few months in order to meet the demand for lower-end smartphones in areas such as China and India.

The Galaxy S4 is also rumored to run Samsung's new Tizen OS.
