San Francisco Giants vs St Louis Cardinals Live Stream: Watch Online MLB Postseason NLCS Game 4 (8PM ET)

The San Francisco Giants will look to level things tonight against the St Louis Cardinals in Game 4 of their NL Championship Series playoff. The Cardinals took a 2-1 lead on Wednesday night to gain the advantage as both teams look to make the World Series. The game starts at 8.07 p.m. ET and can be watched online through live stream via one of the two postseason packages listed below.

St Louis won by a score of 3-1 last night and will now be confident of increasing that lead in Game 4 with home advantage.

However, if they are to take a powerful 3-1 lead in this series tonight the Cardinals may have to do it without Carlos Baltran, who has a knee injury. Beltran has 14 homes runs and 25 RBI in 31 playoff games in his career, and is one of the most influential players in the St Louis team, but he strained his left knee in the first inning of Game 3 and is out of tonight's game. His fitness will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.

Despite the loss of Baltran in the first inning the Cardinals still managed to win Game 3, with rookie Matt Carpenter hitting a two-run home run in the third inning. Carpenter will be an important player for St Louis without Baltran, and if he can fire then the Cardinals may be able to survive well without their veteran player. Carpenter has scored a run and has three RBI in his eight times out on the plate this postseason.

Meanwhile Tim Lincecum will be pitching for the Giants in his first start in the 2012 playoffs. He has made three appearances from the bullpen so far however, and he will be happy than Baltran is missing; Beltran has a .500 batting average and one home run against him.

The Cardinals will be sending pitcher Adam Wainwright to the mound to counter Lincecum. Wainwright almost gave away the deciding Game 5 to the Washington Nationals recently, and he will be have to be more on his game tonight. In his two starts this postseason so far, he has pitched just eight innings, and given up 13 hits and seven earned runs.
