Sandusky and Wife Looking to Grant Exclusive Interviews in 2012

According to the lawyer for Jerry Sandusky, the Ex-Penn State assistant football coach accused of sexual assault, he and his wife, Dottie, are negotiating interviews with Oprah Winfrey, Barbara Walters "60 Minutes," or "Rock Center" with Brian Williams.

The Harrisburg Patriot-News reported Tuesday that Sandusky’s lawyer, Joe Amendola, has said the couple is considering doing a joint television interview as early next year.

Sandusky has spoken briefly to reporters twice, but has never granted a full sit-down interview. The disgraced coach and his lawyer have had several flubs in the press when addressing the allegations.

When initially addressing the allegations in a November interview with sportscaster Bob Costas, Sandusky could not instantly answer directly whether or not he was attracted to young boys.

“Sexually attracted? You know, I enjoy young people. I love to be around them. I … but, no, I am not sexually attracted to young boys,” Sandusky stumbled.

Earlier this month, Amendola announced in a press conference that anyone who believes the allegations against his client should “call 1-800-REALITY.” The number Amendola gave to the press turned out to be an actual sex hotline for gay and bisexual men.

Most recently, Amendola invited several reporters to his house for a football party, according to FOX news. An NBC News reporter covering the Sandusky scandal was arrested for drunk driving the morning after the party.
