'Sarah Palin' Stripper Hired for GOP Convention: Family Values Conservatives Are 'Best Customers'?

A Sarah Palin stripper- an exotic dancer who incidentally looks like the former Vice Presidential candidate- was hired for the potential influx of visitors coming to Florida for the GOP convention. Tampa gentlemen's club Thee DollHouse plans on tempting Republican politicians to indulge in their lewd business from Aug. 27 to 30.

The Sarah Palin stripper is really Lisa Ann, an adult actress who starred in a pornographic film while pretending to be the former governor of Alaska, and her portrayal was not lost on the 20-year-old gentlemen's club. Ann will appear in Palin-style glasses and her signature updo in order to potentially "quadruple" their revenue during the convention, according to the New York Daily News.

Thee DollHouse also got a $1 million facelift to help promote their debauchery, and the location is all too accessible- the gentlemen's club is only five miles from the convention center.

The Sarah Palin look-alike isn't the only preparation Tampa Bay's 40 strip clubs are doing in preparation. A competing club, 2001 Odyssey, plans to make more money by their addition of a webcam service.

"Not only can you see the dancers on the stage and in the dressing room, you can also talk to them in an online chat room," the club's owner, Don Kleinhans, told WFLA. At $4 a minute to talk plus a $19.95 monthly membership fee, 2001 Odyssey is poised to increase business if they can lure in well-to-do politicians.

Social conservatives loyal to the Republican party may be upset to learn that some who stand for family values during the day are found in disreputable clubs at night- GOP politicians apparently visit these clubs frequently.

"Hands down, the Republicans have always been our best customers," Angelina Spencer, the Executive Director of the Association of Club Executives, told WFAE. "We get clients from all walks of life, but for whatever reason … I have heard club owners say, 'Boy, those Republicans really are great customers.'"

The GOP convention isn't the only time more dancers are hired. During the 2009 Super Bowl, some clubs stayed open 24 hours a day to make more money. It is unknown if any clubs will have similar hours for the GOP convention.
