This game has some massive match ups. On one level it is being heavily billed as Robert Griffin III vs Russell Wilson. These are the first two rookie quarterbacks to finish a regular season with a passer rating of 100 or higher.

However, no one could forget the Alfred Morris vs Marshawn Lynch match up. Those two were both among the top three NFL rushers this season, and they should provide another exciting match up to make this wild card explosive.

The Redskins turned their season around from a stuttering and lackluster campaign mid-way through the season, to put on a storming finish that saw them surpass both the Dallas Cowboys and the reigning Super Bowl champs the New York Giants, to win the NFC East divisional title.

Washington finished the season with a record of 10-6 after winning seven straight games to close out the season. They come into the playoffs as one of the most in-form teams and not many will enjoy coming up against them.

A large reason for their massive revival and surge is Robert Griffin III. He finished the season 258 from 393 for 3,200 yards and 20 touchdowns.

Standing opposite him will be Russell Wilson who was equally influential as the Seahawks surged at the end of the regular season to claim their playoff spot. Wilson finished with 252 from 393 for 3,118 yards and 26 touchdowns.

The Redskins finished the season ranked number 1 in the NFL for rush yards earned per game (169.3 yards). They were also ranked 4th for total points per game with 27.2 on average, and ranked 5th for total yards earned per game (383.2 yards) - making them one of the most exciting teams in the NFL this season.

Morris was a big reason for that offensive success, claiming 1,613 yards for 13 touchdowns through the season. Opposite him will be Marshawn Lynch who rushed 1,590 yards for 11 touchdowns. He helped the Seahawks to win seven of their last eight games of the regular season to finish with a record of 11-5. Russell Wilson was another massive player in that run, and he went 252 from 393 for 3,118 yards and 26 touchdowns.

The Seahawks were hot on the rush all season and are ranked 3rd in the NFL for total rush yards per game (161.2 yards).

These are two of the hottest teams in the NFL at the moment and neither has given much over the past two or more months. However, something will have to give today and it should be a huge and exciting clash.
