Sean 'Diddy' Combs Apologizes for Outburst as a 'Child of God'

After an altercation involving Sean “Diddy” Combs took place at an after party for the BET Hip Hop Awards in Atlanta on Saturday, the entertainment mogul confessed that he backslid as a child of God.

Combs took to his Twitter early Tuesday morning to apologize to his fans and maintain that he is a child of God that went astray.

“I’m a child of God and I should be better no matter what someone says to me,” Combs wrote. “I’m sorry for the ignorant way I represented myself and us.”

Combs addressed all children of God on Twitter, asking them to forgive his bad example.

“To all my children of God, I have backslid and regressed,” Combs wrote. “Forgive me for my ignorance. Pray for me pls. I know better and I am better.”

The media mogul’s tweets stemmed from an altercation that took place in the Atlanta nightclub “Compound,” in which he threw ice at a patron and used profanity in frustration after seeing people who were not supporting his Ciroc Vodka brand.

Combs said he recognized a duty to live as an example for others. He also promised not to continue his behavior.

“I have a responsibility that I promise I will live up to,” Combs wrote on Tuesday morning. “And I’m more disappointed in myself than you know. I will humble myself and learn.”

The entertainer and business man has been known for his spiritual slogans like “God first, get money, don’t stop,” and also wrote an inspirational tweet one day after the altercation.

“Happy Saturday, God bless,” Combs wrote.

He made one last tweet about the altercation on Twitter before putting the subject to rest.

“Bottom line is I’m sorry to all,” Combs wrote. “Please find it in your heart to accept my apology. I will do better and be Greater And a source of positivity! Thank yall for listening. Thank you.”
