Selena Gomez was photographed visiting Justin Bieber in Miami on Tuesday where he is said to be working on a new album.
The "Come & Get It" singer, 21, was spotted with the pop star, 20, at Miami's Hit Factory recording studio where Bieber was working with his protégé Madison Beer. At one point Gomez, who wore a white crop top and black pencil skirt, and Beer, 15, posed together for a selfie which was shared on Instagram.
"Studio today. @MadisonElleBeer u ready? :)," Bieber tweeted ahead of Gomez's visit.
Beer was discovered by Bieber via a YouTube video when she was just 13 and he continues to mentor her.
Gomez and Bieber, who began dating in 2011, reunited in Texas last month for the 2014 SXSW, which sparked reconciliation reports. They split last year due to alleged trust issues, however, they appear to be rebuilding their relationship, which has divided fans.
"Their relationship is as toxic as possible they love each other, they hate each other, Justin hooks up with other girls," a source tells HollywoodLife.com.
"Plus, they keep hearing from friends and other people they're [suppposed] to not hang out, which only makes them want to be together more," the source explained. "It is sordid, awkward and there is no end in sight. They are still going to be in each other's lives and it will be all over the place."
The former Disney star has had a difficult year following the cancellation of the Australian leg of her Stars Dance Tour in December 2013. In January she voluntarily entered rehab for personal reasons and critics believe Bieber is to blame for her problems.
"They think they're Romeo and Juliet. The harder people try to keep them part, the more they want to be together," the insider said.
Gomez and Beer are not the only stars Bieber has recently spent time with in the studio. Last week fans were delighted to see photos of the singer working on new music with Austin Mahone, 17.
"What an amazing song last night..The world isn't ready! @justinbieber," Mahone captioned in a photo shared with his 3 million followers.
Bieber shared the same photo with his 15 million Instagram followers alongside the caption "New music #YMCMB."
