Serena Busted: Tennis Star Prevented From Photographing Tiger Woods

Serena Williams has upset security officials after trying to take pictures of Tiger Woods during the Honda Classic golf tournament on Friday.

The PGA tournament started on Monday in Palm Beach Gardens, Fl and includes 144 players, Woods among them. It runs through Sunday.

"Ok at this Golf tournament," Williams posted to Twitter on Friday. "Just saw @tigerwoods I understand NO golf apparently u can't take pics. This security for (sic) mad and yelled at me."

It was while the top-ranked tennis player was standing near the 17th tee box when she pulled out her iPhone to snap a photo of Woods. An official standing nearby was quick to prevent Williams' capturing the moment on camera.

The tennis champ defended herself though, adding to Twitter: "Apparently u can't take pictures of golfers. In my Defense peeps [people] always take pics of tennis players."

Regardless of her warning, Williams later managed to take a photo of Woods on the green and posted it to the social media site.

"Tiger Woods at the golf tournament I am at," the athlete noted.

Woods is competing against defending champion Rory Mcllroy and many other big names in golf for a $6 million purse prize. However, Mcllroy left before his round was even over on Friday, and Luke Guthrie is currently leading the weekend at PGA National.

"I didn't quite have my game like I did yesterday," Woods said Friday, according to ESPN. The golf pro is nine shots off the lead.

"I hit much better yesterday, but I putted better today, so it all evened out," Woods added.

Net proceeds from tickets sales from the Honda Classic benefit South Florida charities through Children's Healthcare Charity, according to the official website for the tournament. Over 1,400 people volunteer during the event.
