"The devil is always busy so we keep our halos on and our heads held high! 'GODS CHILD,'" Monica captioned an Instagram image of Wright wearing her merchandise.

The singer posted another image of a young boy wearing the sweatshirt while citing the importance of "teaching our kids accountability, responsibility and credibility early, #GodsChild."

Monica's online store includes The Code Red Collection that coincides with her eighth studio album, Code Red. Aside from God's Child shirts, One of the T-shirts being offered in the online shop features a scripture found in numerous biblical versions of 2 Corinthians 5:7: "We walk by faith not by sight. Still standing."

Monica previously released a song titled "Still Standing" which also features part of 2 Corinthians 5:7.

Like many singers, Monica got her start singing in church before bursting onto the music scene in the 1990s. Last month, Monica appeared on the talk show "The Real" where she revealed how important getting a Jesus tattoo on her arm was for her to reflect her faith.

"My mom said, 'You know Jesus, you don't need to look at him every day,'" she revealed on the talk show with a laugh. "But I wanted to look at Him every day because there was a time when I would wake up and I didn't even know why my eyes were even opening. I'm like, 'just let me go back to sleep, make the pain go away.'"

During her debilitating depression, Brown said her tattoo reminded her of her Christian faith.

"I would look at my arms, even when I showered, and I would get this level of strength that I couldn't explain to other people," she said. "I wear it proudly at this point now."

Last year, Monica credited her mother, Marilyn Best, for the foundation of her faith.

"Every night I say my prayers and I thank God for choosing me to be the daughter of such a beautiful woman," the singer wrote. "Through her I learn so much and I realize that because of her I know and love God, treat others the way I want to be treated and give all that I've got to my children."
