"The Sinister Six" will also debut before the standalone Venom film that is being directed by Alex Kurtzman.

Earlier this year, "Sinister Six" creators revealed that it will not feature the classic line-up of the hero's rogue gallery. Instead, the creators of the film will mesh together the best most exciting six villains to face off against the hero on the big screen.

Marvel's Ari Arad and "Sinister Six" producer Matt Tolmach discussed the film with IGN.com. Arad feels the need to draw from different eras of Spider-Man in order to create the "Sinister Six" team that will translate best to the big screen. He told the site not to expect the original or classic line-up from the comics.

"When you translate comic to film the word 'classic' means the first fifty issues," he said. "Because after that we all made changes; changes that had to do with science-fiction turning into science. I think just the need to move this world forward."

He also discussed the adjustments that need to be made when transforming comic book villains into actual movie characters.

"So, of course we'll make adaptations about these guys and what was their motivations because many of them have multiple motivations. It depends, is it Ultimate Spider-Man? Is it Spider-Man? Is it some three-piece issue that takes them to space? We have a bigger responsibility to represent the character of the villain as it was conceived, because that way it will survive the test of time. All the rest …. That's a movie," said Arad.
