Sky Ferreira Arrested? Singer Charged With Drug Possession
Indie-pop starlet Sky Ferreira and her boyfriend Zachary Cole Smith were arrested for drug possession in New York early Saturday morning.
The singer and her DIIV frontman boyfriend were reportedly taken into custody for misdemeanor charges stemming from criminal possession of controlled substances, according to the Daily Freeman.
After being pulled over at a stoplight in Saugerties, N.Y., a registration revealed that the Ford truck they were driving had stolen license plates.

Furthermore, police found drugs on the pair. Ferrerira, 21, was arrested once police found ecstasy in her possession, according to the unconfirmed newspaper report.
Alternately, 28-year-old Smith was allegedly charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance after officers found a plastic bag of "42 decks" of heroin. The two were sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of bail.
However, Smith took to his band DIIV's Twitter account shortly after the arrest commenting on the incident.
"What you're reading is police blotter, not the outcome of a court case," read the post.
"These cops wanted to f---- us, and they did," he continued. "Sky did nothing wrong."
Ferrerira also took to Twitter, but with an elusive message reading: "Self-appointed judges judge More than they have sold."
She later retweeted another ambiguous message by Patrik Sandberg.
"Everybody hates you when you're perfect + Everybody hates you when you screw up = Everybody hates themselves," the tweet read.
Meanwhile, Smith resumed normal tweeting on Wednesday, writing to his fans: "to everybody who ordered a shirt, some shirts have been shipped, some have not. sorry to anyone who's waiting. I will send them out shortly!"
Despite the recent troubles, Ferrerira is also a busy musician. She is due to release her long-awaited major label debut, "Night Time, My Time," on Capitol on Oct. 29, according to the Los Angeles Times.
