Spain vs Uruguay Live Stream Free Football: Watch Online Confederations Cup 2013 Soccer

Spain vs Uruguay takes place in the Confederations Cup 2013 on Sunday night, with the European and World Cup champions looking to claim a win over their South American opponents. The game will kick off at 6 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).

This will be the first time these two teams have faced off on Brazilian soil since the 1950 World Cup, which ended with Uruguay winning the World Cup, and Spain finishing fourth.

However, times have changed and in the last World Cup tournament in 2010 Spain were the winners and Uruguay came in fourth.

In team news, Spain will have to choose who starts in goal between Iker Casillas and Victor Valdes. In addition, Xabi Alonso has been ruled out of the tournament, so it is likely that Javi Martinez could get a starting spot.

For Uruguay they have the boost of Luis Suarez coming back from suspension. He will be very likely to make the starting team and so that means either Diego Forlan or Edinson Cavani will have to give way. Cavani will hope that he did enough to keep his starting position after scoring the winner against Venezuela recently.

Uruguay are in the Confederations Cup 2013 through their win in the Copa America tournament in 2011. However, since that time their form has faltered, and they are seriously in doubt about whether they will make the Brazil World Cup next year. Uruguay are five points out of the automatic qualification spots for the World Cup and have been well defeated by Argentina, Colombia and Bolivia recently.

However, they will be encouraged by their recent win over Venezuela, and will hope that the victory will be a turning point for the team.
