Steven Chapman Helps Orphans Through Christmas Promotion
Sparrow recording artist Steven Curtis Chapman joins in partnership with Family Christian Stores to serve the needs orphans and widows through Chapmans Shaohannahs Hope Foundation, which makes adoption of orphans among Christian families a financially church-supported effort, and the non-profit organization Family Christian Stores The James Fund.
The promotion will last from Novemeber to December and involve many two main donation opportunities. Proceeds from the purchase of Chapmans latest release, All About Love, and from the adoption of the Christmas Baranabs Bear for $5.00 found at any Family Christian Store, will go to The James Fund and Shaohannahs Hope. The Baranabas Bears will be donated and delivered to orphans in the respective local community they were purchased in thanks to Family Christian Stores and Bethany Christian Services.
Chapman looks forward to make a difference. He said, I am so thankful that Family Christian Stores is engaging in caring for widows and orphans. Its something God is inviting us to do together. When Family approached me with the idea to tie Shaohannahs Hope and The James Fund together, I was so encouraged and jumped at the chance.
Dave Browne, CEO of Family Christian Stores, affirmed the mutual eagerness to working with Chapman. We at Family Christian Stores are thrilled to partner with Steven Curtis Chapman for these two wonderful foundations to work together this holiday season. I know that we will be able to share the holiday spirit with so many orphans this year and that is so exciting. We have a lot to look forward to and be thankful for this season.
Chapman will also participate in a second round of the promotion which will occur during Easter 2004. The Shaoey Bunny, named after the Chapmans first adopted daughter, Shaohannah Hope will be the adopted animal in place of the Christmas Barnabas Bear.
