Ahead of the premiere of "Stranger Things 2," which is just a few weeks away, the Duffer brothers dropped new footage about the season to come, hinting at its story, threats, and characters.
At the end of the pilot season of the Duffer brothers' '80s-inspired horror series, the fate of Millie Bobby Brown's Eggos-loving telekinetic, Eleven, was left unknown. Though fans were assured that the character would be coming back for season 2, no one knew how. And they were tight-lipped about it, until the recent trailer.
At Comic-Con London, Brown introduced an exclusive clip of what appears to be Eleven's way out of the Upside Down. She stretches her hand into this strange and glowing whole in the wall. Upon realizing that it could be her ticket out of there, she uses her psychic abilities to create a bigger opening, and she jumps right out and into the school's hallway.
What is odd is that in this particular clip, Eleven was wearing the same clothes she was last seen in. But in the final trailer, which was launched on Friday the 13th, Brown was in a different set of clothing. Perhaps she has been in and out of the Upside Down.
Maybe she has been living in the woods of Hawkins, Indiana. More importantly, she seems to be living in the dark dimension, given the dim and eerie lighting. She went out to retrieve her favorite snack, Eggos.
As for Will (Noah Schnapp), his prolonged exposure to the Upside Down is giving him PTSD-like hallucinations. He keeps on having visions about a spider-like monster who lurks in the shadows. He draws sketches of his visions for his friends to see.
After all that they have been through, Chief Hopper (David Harbour) believes that Will is not having nightmares, and is seeing something that is actually happening.
"Stranger Things 2" premieres on Friday, Oct. 27 on Netflix.
