The roster is still not finalized as several characters such as Meta Knight from the Kirby series could still be included in the game. For a complete list of the roster, visit the official site of the Super Smash Bros. game.

Super Smash Bros. is a fighting game by Nintendo that pits its many characters from different franchises against one another. Many well-known characters have been staples in the fighting game such as Mario, Link, Samus Aran and Kirby.

The gameplay is not like most fighting games where characters have a health bar that opponents need to deplete in order to win. Characters in the Nintendo fighting game would need to damage their opponent constantly to increase their damage percentage, making them easier to knock out of the stage.

Most fighting games also have only two characters at a time, where two players can play at the same time. Super Smash Bros. can allow up to four players at the same time.
