Super Smash Bros 4 Roster: Link Confirmed in New Game Screenshot with Princess Peach (PICTURE)

Nintendo unveiled another character for their upcoming Super Smash Bros 4 game, and this character should come as no surprise to hardcore fans of the franchise since game one.

A new screenshot of the game shows the Legend of Zelda's popular elf looking hero, Link, standing face to face with the also recently announced Princess Peach from the Super Mario games.

Link is holding his shield up to Peach's face as she appears to be walking toward him.

Nintendo executives captioned the picture with, "By any chance, are you hiding something from me?"

Although it is unknown whether the picture is from actual gameplay or a cut screen, it does confirm the inclusion of Link in the game. He has been apart of the series since the first game for the Nintendo 64, and is one of the most popular playable characters.

This version of Link is from the Wii's, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, from 2011.

Just last week Nintendo confirmed Peach would be coming back to the series. She has been in every game since the first.

Confirmed as playable characters besides Peach and Link so far are: Mario, Luigi, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Bowser, Donkey Kong, and Pit.

New characters for the game include: the Villager from Animal Crossing, Wii Fit Trainer, Pikmin & Olimar from Pikmin and legendary video game character, Mega Man.

Super Smash Bros has become a Nintendo fan favorite for the company since its first release on the N64, followed by "Super Smash Bros. Melee" on Gamecube and "Super Smash Bros. Brawl" on the Wii.

This will be the first time the series comes to a handheld system as it will release on the Wii U and 3DS sometime in 2014.

For now, the game can be pre-ordered on Amazon.
