Super Smash Bros 4 Rumors: Release Date Leaked by GameStop Through Pre-Order Listing?

Super Smash Bros 4's release date may have accidentally been revealed by GameStop in a listing posted online.

Taking Nintendo's hint of a big announcement at the Video Game Awards, it is speculated that the big reveal is for the eagerly awaited fighting game. GameStop put the Wii U and 3DS title on their pre-order SKU with a launch date of April 8, 2014 according to GameTillYouDrop.

Previously, the website Newegg.com listed the Wii U date as December 31 2013 and the 3DS version of the game as being available on May 16 2014.

Most recently, a new Super Smash Bros 4 stage for Sonic the Hedgehog has been revealed by director Masahiro Sakurai for the upcoming game.

The level is called Windy Hill and features a giant windmill on the right side of the stage. According to Sakurai, the windmill will constantly be turning throughout the match and could potentially knock the characters off the screen. The windmill has platforms for the players to stand on as it turns. See the preview image here.

"The giant wind mill in the right-hand side of Windy Hill. It keeps on turning even though it can't fit in the screen, so you'll find yourself in trouble if you're on it for too long," said Sakurai on the Nintendo Miiverse.

Last month this stage was hinted at when Sonic: Lost World came out in Japan.

Mario, Luigi, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Pit, Olimar, Toon Link, Princess Peach, Sonic the Hedgehog, MegaMan, Marth, the Female Wii Fit Trainer, and the Villager.

This will be the fourth game in the series and the first to also come to a handheld.
