Tamar Braxton says she sees God's purpose in her divorce.

The 40-year-old singer-songwriter, who is gearing up for the fifth season debut of her popular WE tv show "Tamar & Vince," has been subject to media speculation surrounding the end of her marriage for weeks. In the wee hours of the morning on Wednesday, Braxton took to Instagram to reveal why she was ending her marriage of nine years to music executive Vincent Herbert, 44.

"Thank God this is HIS purpose..," Braxton wrote, before denying that the divorce news had anything to do with ratings for her show. "..this has NOTHING to do with ME or a JOB!!"

While Braxton admitted that she tried to keep her family together, which includes 4-year-old son Logan, the singer revealed that love and dignity were missing in her marriage.

"I told myself I would do whatever it took to keep my family together,to see a smile on someone who has seen us smile on their face hoping we could offer them hope, faith,Love& dignity that I️ once possessed. But the truth is all of those things are NOT within the marriage of Tamar & Vince..at least not anymore," she wrote. "Married people who are reading will know what I mean.Sometimes we stay'married'for face value or to say'we did it' but the truth is..it couldn't be more broken &further apart than we are NOW!"

Last week, Braxton's preacher mother, Evelyn Braxton, told TMZ that her daughter was physically abused by Herbert.

"I don't really have anything to say to Vin. Only one thing is keep your hands off my child," she said. "Stop before he hurts her or kills her. I love Vin but I don't want him to kill my child, as simple as that. Stop."

While Braxton did not confirm or deny her mother's claims, she did say it was her choice to stay in her marriage up until this point regardless of the things she has suffered and endured. However, she did hint at some infidelity in her marriage.

"Some of us have been living a LIE!..& sometimes when things R shared, ..What's NOT being surfaced is that he has one or several girlfriends,or she's never home,or he's very general when he speaks,or 'this doesn't sound like him' or he's so busy lately!!.etc.etc..," she wrote. "..Is it ok that his friends are HIS friends but my friends are 'our' friends? Or, we fight but that's 'passion.'"

Braxton also hinted at being kicked out of her shared home with Herbert by writing, "let's get deep for a second..we can argue & u can tell me to gtf out of 'your' house when I'm the house of cards?"

She added, "none of this is ok..& while I'm not pushing anyone out of the door..I'm just telling you what has pushed me out of mine!"
