Merete Larson lived life to love others. She set goals to make new friends at school and invest deeply in her old friendships. However, she fought three battles with cancer and ultimately succumbed to brain cancer at the age of 15.

Jacob Larson witnessed the effects of his sister's cancer mount, especially when she had to use a wheelchair after suffering a stroke during surgery.
