'The 100' Season 4 Episode 4: Jasper Criticizes Clarke on Playing God

Jasper (Devon Bostick) will discover Clarke's (Eliza Taylor) secret list in the upcoming episode of "The 100."

In the episode titled "A Lie Guarded," the promo shows Jasper confronting Clarke about the list she and Bellamy (Bob Morley) created on who among the Sky People should be saved from the looming nuclear apocalypse. They know that they cannot possibly protect everyone. The fallout shelters that Jaha (Isaiah Washington) promised turned out to be a bust. Time is running out, as some of the people are already showing signs of acute radiation sickness. The clip also shows that acid rain will be falling from the sky and everyone in Arkadia will be scrambling to take shelter.

When Jasper sees the list, he tells Clarke to stop acting like a god. According to him, she has no right to decide who will live and who will not. Jasper looks like he has already given up. When the rain comes, he steps out and laughingly holds his arms towards the sky. After confronting Clarke, he does not seem to care what will happen to him. Jasper still does not know about the secret that Clarke and Bellamy discovered about Luna (Nadia Hilker).

The last surviving nightblood was revealed to be the only chance they have to survive the nuclear annihilation. Luna's blood can save everyone at Arkadia. With her help, Clarke does not need to resort to extreme measures to save her people. She will not have to play god after all.

Executive producer Jason Rothenberg recently spoke to TVLine about the revelation.

"It makes total sense, based on the fact that nightblood comes from Becca. It was something she designed to allow for a human body to host a chip that gave off some radiation. So with this radiation coming to annihilate the world, it will be very beneficial to have nightblood," the EP said.

"The 100" season 4 airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EST on the CW.
