Thursday Night Football Live Stream Free: Why NFL Fans Should Watch Falcons vs Saints (Watch Online)

Thursday Night Football in the NFL this week will see the Falcons face off against the Saints in what should be one of the most exciting attacking mid-week games of the 2012 season. Thursday Night Football will kick off at 8.20 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (link provided below).

Monday Night Football earlier this week was a disappointing affair for most neutrals, as a clash of the basement sides held little interest for the overwhelming majority. It was not the scheduler's fault as such, but rather two sides who should have been competing this season who had bitterly let everyone down by performing so badly all season long. However, NFL fans will be given the perfect antidote tonight on Thursday Night Football as they are treated to a playoff between two of the most offensive and exciting teams in the NFL.

For the Falcons tonight it is a chance to gain revenge over their divisional rivals after the Saints defeated the Falcons 31-27 on Nov. 11 in Week 10. That remains the Falcons' only loss this entire season and they will be licking their lips at the chance to even things up and set the record straight tonight.

For the Saints, the goal in this match up is simple; they must win to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Matt Ryan, the Falcons' quarterback, came back into form last week after having a terrible game against the Arizona Cardinals, in which he threw five interceptions. Last week, however, he was able to throw one touchdown, one interception, and throw for 353 yards to help the Falcons narrowly overcome the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24-23 to avoid a second defeat of the season.

The Saints have had somewhat of a mini resurgence recently, but that was brought abruptly to an end last week when they were beaten by the San Francisco 49ers 21-13. That loss ended a three straight game winning streak, and caused huge damage to the Saints' playoff hopes. They must win tonight, and all their remaining games to guarantee themselves a spot in the postseason. A loss tonight and they would need to win everything else, as well as rely on other results going in their favor to claim an unlikely place in the playoffs.

The Saints at the Falcons will take place on Thursday Night Football from 8.20 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream on the NFL Network by clicking HERE, or alternatively another free live stream can be watched by clicking here.
