Tim Allen's 'Last Man Standing' Gets Rave Facebook Reviews

Tim Allen’s new TV show, “Last Man Standing,” debuted on ABC Wednesday night and his fans are very happy he’s back on network TV.

Unlike his previous hit sitcom, “Home Improvement,” where he played manly man Tim “The Toolman” Taylor, with a wife and three young boys, the new show puts Allen in uncharted territory: surrounded by women at home. Fan reaction on Allen’s Facebook fan page has been generally positive.

“It felt a little strange, seeing three daughters running around instead of three sons, but I can adjust,” posted Facebook user Stanley Thornton. “Glad to see your new character is so much like Tim Taylor.”

Nickolas Guess posted, “Love the new show. As a father of four young children, it’s nice to have a show that I don’t mind if they watch with me.”

“Love your new show. It is not politically correct, which makes it so funny,” posted Susan Ascott.

Natalie Walker agreed.

“I love that this new show is not PC,” she posted on the social network site. “It’s so refreshing. The daughters are a bit annoying and hopefully the writing will step up, but best of luck. Home Improvement was a gem and you're so fun to watch.”

“One thing missing is you need a dog. With all those women in the house you need someone that never gives you aggravation,” posted Michael Hause.

In the “Last Man Standing,” Allen plays Mike Baxter, a family man dealing with his wife and three daughters, one of whom is a single parent. Instead of being “The Toolman,” this time around he’s at a career crossroads, video blogging from home to market items for an outdoor catalog.

Whether or not “Last Man Standing” becomes a long-running hit, Allen can always continue his successful film career. He is known to millions for his roles in the Santa Clause and Toy Story franchises.

“Last Man Standing” airs Tuesdays on ABC-TV at 8 p.m. EST.
