Tina Fey, Amy Poehler Heckle Neil Patrick Harris, Steal Emmys Spotlight

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are well known for their comedic antics; especially during awards shows- and Sunday night's Emmy Awards ceremony was no exception.

For the past few years, Fey and Poehler have served as co-hosts at the Golden Globes. Their previous hosting duties may have led the pair to heckle Sunday night's host, Neil Patrick Harris.

Taking the stage as host of the Emmys for the second time, Harris was interrupted by Poehler and Fey who demanded that the actor "twerk."

Sitting in the front row with popcorn and 3D glasses, Fey and Poehler encouraged the "How I Met Your Mother" star to follow Miley Cyrus' example at MTV's VMAs this year and "twerk."

"We've got some advice for you," Fey said from the audience during Harris' opening number. "Take your pants off!"

"Twerk it! Work that twerk," Poehler added.

Despite serving as host of the Emmys as well as four Tony Awards ceremonies, Harris was subjected to playful banter from the two actresses.

"I thought an awards show involved twerking," Fey clarified, again referring to Cyrus' performance alongside Robin Thicke.

When Harris asked why they were wearing glasses, Fey said, "So we can see your business up close! America needs to know what you're working with!"

Later in the night, Emmys previous hosts Jimmy Kimmel, Conan O'Brien and Jimmy Fallon joined Harris onstage.

O'Brien referred to other Emmys hosts as "a bunch of amateurs" who just take "selfies with the guys from Duck Dynasty."

Meanwhile, Fey addressed rumors that she and Poehler may host the Golden Globes again while on the red carpet on Sunday.

"Have you asked Amy yet, because we literally said we're going to talk about it tonight because we haven't seen each other," said the actress, according to E! News.

Furthermore, the "30 Rock" star confirmed that she and Poehler are considering the hosting duties again.

"NBC has invited us," she said. "We're going to talk about it tonight!"
