Top New Christian Products Snag 2009 Retailers Choice Awards

The winners of the 2009 Retailers Choice Awards were announced Monday during a press conference at the International Christian Retail Show in Denver.

Sponsored by Christian Retailing magazine, the annual awards program distinguishes the best new Christian products of the year based on the impact they have had on staff and customers, including their ability "to speak to hearts and evoke emotion, open minds to new ways of thinking and encourage and affirm Christlike living," according to organizers.

Since it was introduced in 2001, the Retailers Choice Awards program has been increasingly acknowledged as an important way of recognizing some of the most significant new life-changing materials in the $4.6 billion Christian products industry.

This year, more than 250 products were nominated in 30 categories, including three new ones - Christian Education (Books), Backlist (Other), and Marketing/Promotion Campaign (Other).
