Tori Spelling Recovering From Hospital Scare

Just weeks after delivering her fourth child, Tori Spelling was forced to undergo an emergency surgery over the weekend but has recovered and is "resting comfortably."

Spelling and husband Dean McDermott welcomed son Finn Davey on Aug. 20 where the actress had a fourth caesarean section - and her second within one year; her daughter Hattie arrived last October.

"Tori underwent emergency surgery over the weekend due to complications from her c-section," her rep explained, according to People magazine. "She remains in the hospital and is resting comfortably."

No further details on the actress' hospitalization were offered.

The "Beverly Hills 90210" star will return home to Finn Davey, Hattie, as well as daughter Stella, 4, son Liam, 5, and Jack, McDermotts 13-year-old son from a previous relationship.

Last month, the proud new parents of Finn Davey announced the news on Spelling's blog.

"We are so excited to announce the birth of the newest member of the McDermott family," the couple wrote at the time.

The baby arrived weighing six pounds, six ounces, and measured 20 inches long. Finn Davey was born just 10 months after his older sister Hattie.

Spellings' pregnancy announcement in March shocked fans since she had just given birth to Hattie, and the actress admitted they were not the only ones surprised. Spelling and her husband learned of their fourth child together in the most unexpected way.

"We found out the news together, I had chronic migraines and I was in the emergency room getting treated for one of my migraines and when I got there they said, 'Before we can treat you, you have to do the pee in the cup,'" explained Spelling, according to Access Hollywood.

"And I said, 'Oh, don't worry I'm not pregnant. I just had a baby a month ago.' And they [said], 'Sorry, it's a policy at the hospital,'" she continued.

"So I did it, and they came back and said, 'You're pregnant!' And I said, 'That can't be!'"

Despite the surprise, Spelling and McDermott were happy.

"Dean and I kind of sat there in shock for a while and then we said, 'Well, we wanted four… This is when our miracle wanted to come… so we'll take it," said Spelling.
