'Twilight' Green Day Song Disappoints Punk Fans: Sneak Peek (VIDEO)

Green Day has released a new music video in preparation for the final "Twilight" movie, which will be in theaters later this month.

"Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" will be released on Nov. 16. But 'twihard' fans looking for a sneak peak may be pleasantly surprised by the new Green Day video of their latest song "The Forgotten."

The video unveils screen shots of the last film, including a shot of Robert Pattinson while he plays the piano for his daughter with Kristen Stewart standing nearby. The song will also appear in the film's soundtrack. However, despite the prospect of a successful video release, Green Day has been less fortunate when it comes to their live tour.

Earlier this week, the group announced that they would be cancelling the rest of their 2012 and 2013 tour dates following Billie Joe Armstrong's admission in to rehab. The lead singer had a public meltdown in September during the iHeart Radio Festival in Las Vegas due to substance abuse. The singer, 40, smashed his guitar on stage after complaining about being offered only a "minute" on stage.

During a recent press release the band's bassist, Mike Dirnt, stated that the main concern at this point would be Armstrong's health.

"Obviously, the timing for this isn't ideal, but Billie Joe's well-being is our main concern," he said.

But not all Green Day fans are excited about the punk rock band getting on board with other artists like Taylor Swift to help produce a song for the "Twilight" soundtrack.

"I've spent the past 18 years defending green day hard core, because i consider myself one of their HUGEST fans. i even come to their defense on lots of their subpar efforts, because i have always admired their spirit as a band. but this is where i draw the line," one user wrote on the Yahoo blog.

"I just lost all respect for Green Day and all faith in mankind. So sad," a second user added.
