Tyler Perry Shares Biblical Principles For His Birthday

Tyler Perry turned 44 on Friday Sept 13, and made sure to let the world know all the lessons that he learned about God and his Christian faith.

Perry, the film and television mogul, took to Facebook to share his 44 lessons in a post titled "44 FOR 44."

"At 44, here are 44 things that I have learned and know to be true," Perry wrote the day after his birthday. "Have a great day today my friends."

While Perry shared a number of his personal convictions and insights, many of the thoughts that made it to his list were biblical principles. After beginning his list of 44 thoughts with "1. Yes, God is real," Perry spoke about enemies in numbers six through eight.

"6. God will really make your enemy your footstool," Perry wrote, expanding on the scripture Luke 20:43. "7. A footstool is only needed when you need to get higher. Let your enemy lift you.8. God will prepare a table before you in the presence of your enemies so let them watch you eat."

The film mogul went on to offer his insight stemming from the scripture Proverbs 18:21.

"9. Be careful what you say, life and death truly are in your own words," he wrote.

The 10th lesson that Perry shared is parallel to the scripture Psalm 30:5.

"There will be rough nights but joy really does come in the morning," Perry wrote.

He spent two lessons speaking about fear, with points that can be found in 2 Timothy 1:7.

"11. Fear is a spirit that really can stop you from living," Perry wrote. "12. God has not given us a spirit of fear."

Perry also mentioned God in other lessons that he shared like; "21 If you lie to yourself you will lie to God too, "22. Live where you are so God can meet you at your needs," and "29. Don't try to be seen, God may be hiding you on purpose."

While Perry reiterated Galatians 6:7-8 with number 32 by saying, "you really will reap what you sew," he also gave some more personal insight about his relationship with God.
"35. Prayer really can change things," Perry wrote. "36. If it had not been for The Lord on my side I don't know where I would be."

The film mogul ended the list of lessons by telling his Facebook friends, "44. Nothing is impossible for God."
