Victoria Beckham Smile 'Stolen by Fashion,' Model Explains

Victoria Beckham, formerly Posh Spice, rarely smiles in her photos, and the public has wondered why. Now the icon has opened up about her decision to not smile in any photos and her plans for the future, which may include another child.

"I actually used to smile a lot in pictures," Beckham told Glamour magazine. "I think I only stopped smiling when I got into fashion. Fashion stole my smile! I've created this person. And I'm not saying that's not me, but I wouldn't say that's the whole me … It's an armor that goes up," she added.

It's one that has lasted for many years because in 2009, when asked about her decision to forgo a smile, Beckham explained that it was due to "insecurities. Maybe that's why I look a bit serious. The kind of person who's going to stand on the red carpet and have the big grin- I'm not like that," she told reporters.

Beckham shot to stardom with her persona in The Spice Girls but after the group broke apart, she began to make a name for herself through modeling, design and, of course, a high-profile marriage to David Beckham. The couple currently has four children who mean the world to them.

"I want to get in there, do what I've got to do and get home to my children," Beckham explained. Work comes second to family and she has made family life her number one priority.

Where does Beckham see herself, and her family, five years down the road?

"I'd like everybody to be healthy and happy. I'd like to be growing the business at a steady pace, and to be making more women feel empowered, beautiful and confident," the former pop star said.

"And I'd never say never about another baby. It's a juggling act- a career, family, a husband who's busy. But I'd never say never!" she added.
