Warren Barfield Joins Third Day on Tour

Warren Barfield, the first artist signed by Creative Trust Workshop, will be joining Third Day on tour, along with special guest TobyMac. The North American tour will play in 28 venues beginning in April. Last fall, Barfield went on the "Free To Fly" tour with FFH and Big Daddy Weave.

"Performing live shows is what I love to do, so I am both honored and grateful that I’ve had these tremendous opportunities. FFH was generous and wonderful to tour with, and I’m so excited about the opportunity to tour with Third Day and TobyMac, both artists I admire very much," said Barfield.

"We are very excited to have Warren on our spring tour. It's a hard job to be an opening act and get out in front of thousands of people with just an acoustic guitar. But after seeing the great connection Warren established with very large audiences at different summer festivals, we're confident he'll be up for the challenge," said Tai Anderson of Third Day.

Barfield has had a busy year. A mid-year poll from Radio & Records (R&R) Magazine named Barfield the #1 New Artist. He also received a chance to open for Steven Curtis Chapman in Nashville on the same day his self-titled album was released. In his debut album, which hit the streets in August, two songs claimed top ten positions on the charts. "My Heart Goes Out" hit #3 on the AC chart and #5 on the CHR chart this past fall. "Mistaken" landed #9 on the CHR chart for CRW. He also nabbed the cover story for the re-launch of Release Magazine, August/September edition.

October brought more even more exposure to Barfield's career. His performance alongside Third Day and Max Lucado, author of the book Next Door Savior, was broadcasted live by satellite. Barfield also sang and wrote the title track for Lucado's companion soundtrack CD Next Door Savior. The 2004 WoW Hits CD featured Barfield's "My Heart Goes Out" as a track on the Green Disc Bonus Cut of the CD.

"It is exciting to see the journey that Warren has been on this year. His personality, his live performance and his heart make Warren a true artist, one that we have been honored to come along side,"said Gabe Vasquez, director of sales and marketing for Creative Trust Workshop.

Barfield is currently in the studio recording his sophomore release to hit streets November 2004.
