Wii U and 3DS Accounts to Be Linked Together in the Future?

Fans of Nintendo are hoping the company finds a way to link the Wii U and 3DS account systems into one, but so far it is not in their plans.

"We don't have anything new to announce, unfortunately, other than we've definitely heard that feedback many times from both inside and outside the company," Nintendo manager of business development Dan Adelman told Destructoid. "It's definitely something that we're very much aware of."

"All development for the infrastructure really happens out of Japan, so we've kind of communicated this need in the market, and they're very much aware of it and working towards really just always improving the eShop," he continued.

In the mean time, Nintendo is working on a pseudo-gaming social network involving the Miiverse.

Users are now allowed to post on their Activity Feeds and on their friend's feed. Previously Wii U users were able to only communicate with people in certain games.

The Activity Feed is only able to be seen by those that are in the user's friend network, much like a Facebook with privacy settings.

According to Joystiq, Miiverse will be coming to the 3DS sometime before 2014. Perhaps this is one step closer to linking the two consoles.

In addition to recent price cuts, the Wii U is having a special promotion next week for people who make their purchase at Target.

They are offering a buy two get one free promotion for all Nintendo Wii U games from September 22 - 28.

Target's advertisement shows that the lowest priced game of the three will be the free one, and the offer is running under limited quantity.

Target also has a Wii U bundle for $299.99 that includes Zelda Wind Waker HD.

The 32 GB Wii U is now $299 after launching at $349 starting Sept. 20.
