About 5,000 people in the computer business were invited to test out the new system on tablets.

“They gave us all tablets with the new Windows 8 installed,” said Dave Wolf to the Christian Science Monitor. “This is something we’ve all been waiting for.”

Wolf is the vice president of software firm, strategy for Cynergy.

Microsoft seems to have generated an Apple like buzz with Windows 8.

The company seems eager to take a bite out of the tablet market which is currently dominated by Apple’s iPad.

Blogs have been started specifically to update techies with information on Windows 8.

Wolf stated that one of these tablets with the beta version of the operating system installed is already for sale on eBay.

Is the buzz Microsoft is creating enough to ensure them a solid debut into the tablet market?

Unlike Apple who seems to keep new products under wraps, Microsoft has come right out into the open to demonstrate its system to the world.

But some experts are still skeptical about Microsoft entering the tablet market.

“Despite the early buzz about Windows 8, Microsoft will never do anything that will kill the iPad or any other Apple product,” said Mike Manzo, chief marketing officer of Openet according to The Christian Science Monitor.

“I’m sure that Microsoft has been crafty in the feature set, but nothing will get them past the “cool” factor that Apple has. At least not for some time,” he added.
