She said, "In Batman v Superman, you get a glimpse of who she is but not where she comes from. In Wonder Woman, this would be the first time we ever tell the coming-of-age story of how Diana becomes Wonder Woman. It's very interesting. It has moments of humor, but it's pretty dark."

She stated that her character will present a new aura to the DC Cinematic Universe, compared to the previously released DC films such as "Batman," and "Superman." Avid comic book fans are aware that Wonder Woman is responsible for bringing the Justice League together. Now that she is entering the DC Extended Universe, there is a lot of excitement for how the franchise will bring about her goal of forming the iconic group of heroes.

"Wonder Woman" is expected to hit theaters on Jun. 2, 2017.
