Zachery Tims Toxicology Hearing Draws Near; Pastor Continues to Inspire Church (VIDEO)

A Manhattan Supreme Court has scheduled a hearing for Nov. 23 in response to an injunction filed by the family of megachurch Pastor Zachery Tims, to stop The New York Medical Examiner’s office from releasing the toxicology report or the cause of death of the late pastor.

Zachery Tims’ Toxicology Hearing Draws Near as He Continues to Inspire Church Members

Tims was found non-responsive in a room of the W Hotel, in New York City, on Aug.12, 2011.

The attorney representing the family asserted that the cause of death of any individual should never be subject to release and hints at the landmark nature of the injunction to challenge, what he described as, the usual practice of the medical examiner’s office.

Beyond the controversies surrounding the hearing, however, Tims’ New Destiny Christian Center (NDCC) has forged ahead with its ministry and is now preparing to name a successor to its charismatic founding pastor.

Ironically, the words of Tims continue to inspire the resolve of church members as they advance beyond a tragic year. As was recently reported, during an appearance on the Trinity Broadcasting Network, or TBN, on April 4, 2010, Tims almost seemed to speak to church members concerning their current challenges.

In an exhortation to maintain courage even through crises, the pastor said, "Don't curse your crisis, it's working through you - it's not working against you."

Tims continued his theme of not giving in to adversity by saying, "That giant is going to help you get to a better place - that obstacle is going to help you get to a better place."

You can now find sermons of the late pastor on NDCC website, by clicking its media tab.
