President Donald Trump gave the State of the Union speech on Tuesday night, the day before the U.S. Senate is expected to vote on the House's two articles of impeachment.

The speech was given in what was at times a partisan environment, as some Republican members of Congress chanted “four more years” at one point while Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi tore up an official copy of the president's speech at the end.

Because Pelosi ripped up the document, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., obtained another copy from the White House Wednesday and asked the president to sign it. He then announced on the House floor that he was submitting that copy to be archived by the House clerk.
