With the 2024 presidential election taking place later this year, several candidates have thrown their hats into the ring even though a rematch between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump has consistently remained the most likely outcome.

Challengers who came forward to present themselves as alternatives to the frontrunners for the Democratic and Republican nominations have dropped out of the race after both Biden and Trump secured massive leads in the popular vote and the delegate count following the early presidential primaries and Super Tuesday. The only major candidates that remain are Trump, Biden and a handful of third-party candidates whose impact on the race is uncertain as they fight for ballot access in key swing states. 

Here are a few facts to know about each of the declared candidates running for president, including those who have since withdrawn from the race.
