Gospel Cubes Give Rise to Grade School Evangelists

[-] Text [+]

Children as young as nine years of age can now more effectively evangelize their friends thanks to the makers of the famous Evangecube and the evangelistic organization founded by the late televangelist Dr. D. James Kennedy.

The recently released Kids’ Evangelism Explosion (Kids’ EE)-Cube is a colorful, fun, interactive visual tool that flips and folds to reveal a clear gospel message, equipping kids to share with others the teachings of Jesus Christ.

“The approach to Kids' EE was developed by children's ministry leaders who worked with children to find out what the children responded to. Kids' EE provides colorful teaching tools that make learning the Gospel presentation fun and interactive,” explains Evangelism Explosion International, which teamed up with E3 Resources to release the Kids’ EE-Cube.

“Kids' EE introduces the materials for learning through methods that appeal to children's primary learning styles,” the evangelistic group adds. “These learning styles are based on the use of visual, print, auditory, kinesthetic, and tactile materials.”

According to Mission News Network, statistics show that over 40 million children in North America have not yet heard the Gospel.

And it is for this reason that Evangelism Explosion established Kids’ EE.

“We believe the Great Commission is for everyone, not just adults or even youth,” the ministry states in its Web site. “Kids' EE lays a foundation for spiritual growth in children and enables youngsters to respond with excitement and enthusiasm to Jesus' command to all of us to be His witnesses. It develops a world-view that is framed by the recognition that without faith in Jesus we are all lost in our sins.”

According to Evangelism Explosion, many churches have already introduced the Kids’ EE-Cube with great success. The net result is that kids can share the gospel which their peers can understand with ease and fun.

In addition to the Kids’ EE-Cube, Kids’ EE utilizes a number of other materials to play a very positive role in bringing the gospel closer to young children across America and the world.

“Many children prefer to learn through visual materials over against printed materials. Therefore, Kids' EE has developed a complete set of visual materials for use in teaching children the gospel presentation,” the ministry states.

“Teaching with objects such as a slime egg, which is used to tell the Rotten Egg illustration to show man's sinfulness, appeals to children who want to touch and feel and have hands-on learning activities.”

Children's ministry workers have testified to the positive change Kids' EE can help bring about.

"Kids can do this. It's just amazing to watch them share the gospel. Our kids share the gospel with families with kids who visit our church,” Lori Aubuchon, director of the Upper Elementary Children's Ministry at the Peoples' Church in Fresno, Calif., told E3 Resources.

"This is the most exciting thing I've seen for kids in years and I've worked in children's ministries for 30 years," Ann Bailey, director of Children's Ministry at First Presbyterian Church in Warsaw, Ind., also commented.

"Kids' EE is an exciting, productive program. It's having an impact on the children. Their prayer life is just wonderful. The kids are praying for those they are going to witness to and for each other," Maxine Van Middendorp of First Reformed Church in Sioux Center, Iowa, testified about the program.

Kids’ EE-Cubes can be purchased at $7 a piece or in bulk; 1-23 pieces are sold at $7 per cube, 24-95 at $5.25 per cube, and 96-999 at $3.50 per cube.
